Flooded Roof AC

We're sitting here at a campground south of Branson, MO just getting back from trying to go to town (mountain roads closed). We were gone app. 30 minutes. When I entered our Salem Ultri-Lite, I noticed the Dometic wasn't cooling, so I opened the center vents and water poured out onto the floor. I shut it off and we mopped up the water (app. a pint). I turned the thermostat back on; the compressor started again, and is cooling with no water coming thru, so I'm wondering what happened. There shouldn't be that much water on the roof, but it is pouring and we can't leave the campground due to flash floods. At least, we're on high ground and the utilities are still on. Just wondering why/how water got into the unit?

Froze up.
If you set your thermostat to low "cold" the condenser can and will freeze.
It's possible the frost sensor fell off to.

What campground are you staying at? We have reservations for Mill Creek starting this Saturday. Not hearing good things about the lake level on Table Rock. Any info would be appreciated.

We're staying on Taneycomo Lake at Cooper Creek Campground off of Fall Creek Rd. south of Branson. They are releasing lots of water and the side roads are closed in places so we can't get back to town right now. More predicted tonight and tomorrow. I've learned my lesson and will stop reserving spaces since we have had rainstorms on every outing we've done this Spring. We're jinxed!

Thanks for the info. I really doubt I will get to do any fly fishing on Taney. Stay safe.

Spent about 3 hours last night on the fishing dock; didn't see anything hitting the surface. Fast current, so weights and night crawlers were the bait of choice. Both browns and rainbows were being caught. Thanks for the concern. This is getting serious, but we're on high ground and have everything we need.
