Folding table repair

This is the closest category to my problem.

My folding table broke a weld, and I was wondering if anyone knows if that is covered under my one-year warranty.

The RV service center that handled a small repair under the warranty said it probably was covered, but they can't even have me bring it in until the 4th of April, and we have reservations starting on the fifth. Does anyone know if I took it to another welding shop if I could still get it covered?

If so, could I pay them and get reimbursed myself, or what?

Thank you.

I don't know for sure but I doubt they will reimburse you for having it welded. You call your dealer and ask though. It's probably cheaper to replace the leg than it would be to pay a welder to weld it.

Can to drill a small hole and then put a screw in it as a temp repair? How about taking the table only to the dealer so he could go ahead and order a new leg or table?

Good luck.

What needs fixed? Can you have the dealer simply get the parts to you and you fix it yourself?

I finally got through to RVW, and they want me to email a photo of the damage so they can get Forrest River to approve having a welding shop fix it for me.

This is sort of old news, but I thought I'd mention that Forrest River took care of me, and fully reimbursed the folding table repair.

Thanks, FR
