Freezer

Some days our freezer works fantastic and will hold ice cream, some days not. Any ideas on why it differs day to day.

What year is your rig and what type of refrigerator do you have?
You have nothing posted in your profile.

Many reason.
1. High outside temperature and high humidity.
2. Direct sunlight on exterior of rig where refrigerator vents are located.
3. Seal on freezer door damaged or the door wasn't totally closed.
4. The refrigerator was going into a defrost cycle. To stop this or reset time you need to shut off power to refrigerator and turn back on.

These are just my ideas why.

You never told us if you were on propane or electric?
You never told us if the freezer has large layers of frost on the rear from prolonged use.
How much is the freezer full or partially full
If the stuff in the freezer against the walls or do you leave space for proper air flow around items.
Did you just do some shopping and put warn stuff in the freezer?

So as you can see they are many variables that may make the temp rise.

Hope this helps

Thank you. The refrigerator is on electric, plenty of ventilating between items. Seal is in good shape. It was not defrosting and vents were shaded.

Does your fridge sit in the slide out? Sometimes the sun beats in on it that way too. Letting us know year, make/model of your rig and which type of fridge you have (ie norcold or dometic) will help. Also is it standard RV fridge, residential fridge etc.
