Update 2: I think I'm on to something. Does anyone know what this is or the part number.

I know I had 12vdc coming in and that the thermo fuse had continuity which if tripped will cut all power. It looked like the positive supply wire and one wire from the Thermofuse went behind the chimney. It turns out that was one wire that was pinched back on itself and went to the main circuit board. It was covered in a loose black insulation.

Inside that is a small, silver thing marked "Microtemp" (first picture). That wire does NOT have continuity. It must have been very close to the flame. At the bottom of the second picture you can see metal prongs that clamped the wire and held it near the chimney. I'm wondering if the silver thing is to be near the flame/heat and was it too close.

Does it have colored bands on it? It looks like a resistor. Or possibly a capacitor.

That is a thermo fuse. It will open when the temp reaches a set temperature, once open it is toast and needs to be replaced.

I thought the thermofuse was the round disk screwed on to the side of the chimney seen in the top right of the second picture.

That round disc is a thermo reset, which will reset itself after it has tripped. The thermo fuse is a one shot fuse that will shut things down if all else fails.

Thanks for the clarification. I won't bypass it but haven't found a part number, any idea where I can get one? I'm expecting Dometic to reply to my email with instruction to take my trailer to a service center.

This is a thermofuse
It should have continuity if good
Test by ohms or by-pass test briefly to verify.

Dometic DMR702 Fridge - No Power

I had the same issue. Don't pay the money for the Dometic part. just search amazon for "152 Degree thermal fuse". They are extremely cheap and common.

This happened to us earlier this year. You can find the fuses cheap on eBay. Complete assembly from Dometic is pricey. My dealer gave us one under warranty. The post above was a big help

Hero, thanks. When I first started reading everything I could find I thought the fuse was the disk on the chimney not hidden in a wire. Do you know if or how close it is to be to the chimney?

Look for the number on the fuse (eg: 77C) then google " microtemp 77c (or whatever the number of yours is) and you should be able to find where to get a replacement.

Thermal fuse. Like a regular fuse but blows when temperature exceeded. This is an example.

NTE Electronics Thermal Fuse 216*c | NTE8213 | NTE Electronics

To test if this is the problem just jumper across it to bypass it. Then see if the system works.

It's FIXED! I put a new thermo fuse in then wasted 20 minutes running around to figure out why I had no A/C power in the trailer. Some idiot plugged the trailer into the extension but forgot to plug the extension into the outlet. I'm now running the fridge to see what temp it gets down to.

Thanks again for all the assistance.
