Fridge drain tube has plug?

My propane fridge isn’t draining. Seems there may be ice in the drain tray. Went outside and checked. Found a small white tube/hose with a plastic plug in it. Why? Is it the drain? Why is it plugged. Tube is. Only about 1/8 inch diameter.

Pull the plug and see if it drains.

i think you are referring to the small screw in plug that is put in to prevent bugs from entering the drain line

Fridge drain is normally a 1/2" ribbed line. They have an end cap, but it has small holes in it to allow it to drain.

Yes... this ^^^^^. I’m sure that plug has holes in it. The fridge doesn’t drain constantly. Mine only drains when I turn it off and it defrosts.

Not on Nor-colds . they have just what op describes. small tube with small white plastic insert . though it has a hole in to allow draining . Dometics have the type you describe

Yep. Mine is a Norcold and it does have tiny holes in it. They were plugged. So now I’m just defrosting rest of fridge. Your collective speedy responses did point me in the right direction. Thanks to all.

If they aer plugged open them up with a small drill so it will drain and keep the bugs from entering or building a nest that will plug it.
