Good thing this working Aly, sounds like the TH can not come soon enough.

Maybe this is why it is working now.

When we stock the fridge then the temp holds roughly at 50 degrees. The freezer is perfect for "freezing" ice cream.
My mother always said if your can freeze ice cream, you have a good freezer!

50 degrees is too warm. Bacteria can from and food can spoil.

You're right. Now that you mention it, that is on the warmer side. Never really gave it a thought since everything was kept chilled from being cold already put into the fridge, just for the couple days we were out. Maybe I need to check my temp cord like another suggested and see if this will help the temp lower. Although the freezer kept things rock hard! Go figure!
Time to investigate before the next outing. THX.

We put our ice in the fridge for about 2 hours and the temp dropped. We moved the ice back to the freezer and it has maintained temp since. You could try this.

Disconnect the temp thermistor this will allow the unit to run without shutting off. This is a emergency bypass to test. Unless you have a ohm meter to verify.
Thermistors cost around
$ 20.00

Google ' snip the tip' it is a replacement thermistor for the fridge. I installed one 3 years ago and added 2 fans on the inside and one the outside. Temps were in the 29 to 35 degree range last week.

as people unplug their refrigeratores the ammonia fluid stops flowing and sediment drops out of the fluid and settles wherever gravity takes it. Enough cycles of having the refrig turned off can literally choke the flow off thereby making the refrig non-efficient and not cooling.

Fridge not cooling properly
Another Ally with a fridge problem. I don't think ours is getting cold enough. Don't want to make my family sick. Don't have a thermometer or fans in it.

Led, did you attempt to cool the fridge at intervals as previously suggested. Turn on at the lowest setting for a couple of hours, then bump the sitting up another notch for a couple hours, and then again and again until it's as cold as you want it or at the coldest setting.
