Fridge temp

I did a quick search but didn't find what I'm looking for..:

my tt fridge temp is cooling to (only) 39.9ºf and I'm curious what others are getting - my freezer temp is showing 4.7ºf

my fridge(s) at home are cooling to 33.9 and 37.9ºf

can these fridges be adjusted or serviced to cool at a lower temp

On a very hot day your fridg will work harder and for sure the temperature inside will be affected. If you camp during the fall and the temperature is cold outside you will see that the inside of your fridg is much cooler. Another point that affect the temperature inside is how often the door is opened during the day and how long it stay open to find something. Some peoples takes way too long to find what they want leaving the door open for a long time. On an absorbtion fridg it takes quite longer to recover that cold that you lost versus a compressor fridg.

Ours varys from about 29deg( usually when the wife doesn't want her salad frozen) to 48 deg after dinner when putting stuff up or when loading for a trip (door open as mentioned above or warm food) and will move the slide to adjust.

One camper I met this summer said his fridge couldn't keep up but it was 110-113 deg here in central Oklahoma so all cooling sytems were strugling.

Ps. I think mid to upper 30s is safe but I would probably see what health department code is for a correct answer

Mine also stays at 40F in the FF compartment. My freezer is nice and cold
as you say. I don't have any plastic slider to adjust either
On the other hand our last refer would freeze the lettuce on occasion.
This one hasn't done that yet!

We've been camping with this refer 4 years and haven't had a problem with
food spoilage. We always pre-cool everything before loading the refer.
I also have a plastic beer mug that is full of that "blue ice" type fluid.
I put that thing in the freezer and a few beers in the fridge and when
we want a cold one I can pour my 40 deg beer in my frozen blue ice mug
and it very soon has a skim of ice on it.

It works for me!!

we returned from our 1st outing yesterday - I had not leveled the tt exact enough to keep the fridge operating well (I did re-level and got it functioning correctly during the trip however)

unpacked and bought a new (working) thermometer to get some valid readings after my old thermometer shot craps

left the fridge running (on elects) overnight and got an empty fridge reading of 34.8º f - which seems ideal

but then I started reading about the "plastic slider" and have been messing with that - internet says "up for colder"/"down for warmer" - so I've moved it "up" and will check the results in a while (plan on operating on propane later, to compare with elects once the temp settles down)

I agree that opening and closing the fridge door quickly alters the inside temp - as does adding not-cold items - I gotta watch to keep from doing those things
