Fridge temp control switch

The switch is inside the fridge a wire the fits inside a plastic piece that slides up and down on the cooling fin. Some times it don't work I have to wiggle it and side it up and down finally it starts to work. When it works it works very good. It's a Dometic RM 2652.

That "switch" is called a thermister and acts like a thermostat..

There are many discussions about it and if you do a search, you will find many comments and other things about it.

I've posted several times about a product called "snip the tip". It replaces the white slide thingy (thermister) with a functioning thermostat, about the size of your thumb nail. It works great and I highly recommend this product, oh and it's less than 25 bucks and takes about 5 min to install.

My thermister works TOO well. Hard to get fridge above 29 F.

I just installed a "snip the tip" yesterday on my fridge. So far so good. Temp is at 37 degrees now with an ambient temp of 72. Last night it got to 34. I think I will have to play with it for a while to see how to set it.
