Okay, I'm no electric guy. Mostly I know if you don't respect it, it will put you on your butt. So I don't understand what was going on here, but the fix was cheap & easy.
Our Dometic DMR702 fridge would not work on AC power. When I turned the fridge on, instead of the AUTO light coming on, both the AUTO & LP lights would start flashing. After a few seconds, you could hear the pilot light try to light.
Went to the back of the fridge and started poking around with my volt meter.
Now there are two 5A fuses there. One an auto type and the other a glass tube type. Inspected both, and both looked fine. One oddity however was when I checked voltage across the glass tube fuse, instead of 120, I got a 104 reading. Weird. Nothing else out of the norm that I could find. Decided I would have to haul it to the dealer & likely dig deep into my wallet.
But then thought, maybe that 104 reading was an indication of something wrong with a fuse that "looked" good. So down to ACE Hardware, and for $1 got a new fuse. Popped that baby in, and all is well. So if you have a similar issue, invest a buck & change the fuse
