Frig making counter hot

Has anyone had a problem with the frig. Making the countertop so HOT that the laminate curls up?

Welcome to the forum and sorry to hear of your problem.

It may help if you can give us the year, make and model of your camper.

Welcome to the forum. Something ain't right, the fridge shouldn't make the countertop so hot that the laminate warps. Fridge vents aren't blocked? Fridge gets hot when run on electric or LP?

It's a wildwood xlite 2013. First time out no problem, this past weekend it hit real hot and the laminate became unglued and started to curl up

Are you running the fridge on 120V or gas?

120. 30amp plug for camper. Same thing we did first time out. Nothing different. Even checked the switch to make sure we were on electric not propane.

I had the same problem. 2013 Wolf Pup. I assume by now you have had it addressed (or it caught on fire). My dealer installed a metal diverter at the request of Dometic. I'm not sure if it was forgotten on install or a "fix" for a new problem. This helped somewhat, but still seemed wrong to me. I purchased a $14.00 box fan from radio shack and mounted it on the top panel to blow the hot air out. It is a 12 volt 300mA fan, about 4" by 4". I just mounted it with screws to the inside of the panel. I wired it to the gas solenoid (also 12 volts), so that any time the gas valve is open the fan runs. My counter is cool and the Freezer got down to 10 degrees F with the fridge around 35. This WILL drain your battery over a weekend if you have no solar or generator to keep it topped off. Forest River shipped a new countertop to my dealer, but I plan to replace it myself (dealer service is 100% incompetent). Hope this helps.
