Furnace 8282WS

I our 8282WS should the furnace have a high and low speed fan? If I change the thermostat fan switch, nothing changes as to air flow.

Furnace has one speed, AC has high & low. Thermostat fan switch is for the AC.

I put an external switch on the furnace fan to run it with the burner off as we use an EdenPure electric heater and the furnace fan at night to circulate the air thru the ducts and basement area when it gets near freezing. Only happened on night last year in FL.
