Furnace Blower Stays On
Hi,
This might be a dumb question, but here goes: I ran the furnace in my new 35' Wildwood this past weekend on a hunting trip. I have never had a trailer with ducted heat and air conditioning, so I am not familiar with how they operate, I guess. When I set the thermostat to "heat" mode, the blower on the A/C unit started to run, and ran continuously all weekend, even when the furnace was not actively heating (just like when the air conditioner is on). I don't know if the furnace and the A/C share the same blower motor or (?) The strange part to me was that there was constantly room temperature air coming out of the vents on the ceiling, and then heat from the floor vents, only when the furnace was in a heating cycle. Is this the way the furnace should operate? I thought the blower would only come on when the furnace was actively heating, and I would have thought that the furnace would operate seperately from the unit on the ceiling. Someone "in the know" please tell me if it sounds like my system was operating properly.
Thanks,
Tony B
