Furnace blowing fuses

I have a Sanibel 5th wheel. Furnace started blowing fuses last night. Fan works but as soon as I turn furnace on it blows the fuse.
Trailer has not moved and is only two months old.

My first guess would be a short in your furnace wiring. Second guess would be a short in the furnace logic board.

Unless you have electrical trouble shooting skills, and are willing to make your own repairs, this is a warranty issue.

Is this the first time using it this year?

Try to examine the air intake fan with a flashlight. Without a screen over the exterior intake and exhaust ports, mud wasps (daubers) can fill the intake squirrel cage fan with mud and bond it to the wall.

Accessing the fan to clean it (if clogged) might be beyond your skill level as it needs the unit to be removed.

There may also be a 12 volt current limiter exposed outside the unit on the floor (picture). If a metal object, like a pan, is on the terminals it will cause fuse failure. (Can happen if the rear panel was removed to make additional storage space in the cabinet.)

It is an Atwood. I see the exhaust on the side of the trailer but not the intake. Also cannot find the access to it on the interior. It's raining so I have not crawled under to see if I can access there.

Normally there are two ports together; one on top of the other.
Top is intake, bottom exhaust.

I don't think the Atwood has the 2 ports like the Suburban does as shown in the Herk7769 photo. The Herk7769 exhaust and intake ports are for the combustion chamber. I've seen Atwood"s that had vent holes surrounding the single exhaust port. Could be wrong here.

I had the same thing with an Atwood on the maiden voyage 770 miles from home, 730 from the dealer. That was on the 5er in my signature. I called Atwood and they provided the names of several mobile techs. After diagnosis the tech called Atwood support finding no reason for the fuses to blow. OOHHHHhhhh that furnace requires a 15 amp slow-blow fuse. Easy fix if you can find them. I tried auto parts stores, big box hardware, electrical supply and most often found a deer in the headlights stare. Atwood sent a fuse and I ordered 2 more online. Now ~~ working just perfect. It is not a safety issue so no recall and too few to send a service bulletin.

If not the above, look for any loose wire that should be bolted down or soldered in place. If loose, it could arc resulting in a sudden current overflow.
