furnace filter?

went to trailer to get it ready. one thing I did was to clean the a/c return air filters. then I thought about the furnace. we have a suburban furnace. does it have an return air filter? I looked in the manual and could not find any mention of one. does it have one of those pleated paper filters like you house furnace? on our trailer the furnace return opening is down on the floor right next to the bed where it looks nearly impossible to get to. if it had a filter I would expect it to be there right behind the vent opening.

Ours doesn't have a filter and all the campers I have been in doesn't have one. I think they figure it won't run enough to be a problem.

The only time I have seen a "Return Air Filter" in a unit was a couple had "Several Cats" and they wanted a filter installed! Youroo!!

I don't recall ever seeing one stock on an RV, I have seen plenty added after the fact.

They don't come with a return air filter being an old HVAC guy and having a dog or at times dogs camping with me I added a filter, cut down one of my home filters and put it over the return air. Still have to make a permanent filter rack, it does cut down a little on the fan noise

Thanks for the info SeaDog. I was concerned it may restrict the air flow and not operate properly. Hoping it would help dampen sound more than filter.
