Furnace Fuse Location

Hello,

I have a 2005 tent trailer and I am pretty sure I blew the fuse to the furnace The only problem is I am not sure where to look to find it. I am assuming it is an inline fuse on the positive wire for the furnace, but is it located in the furnace compartment (removing the grill) or somewhere else?

The first place to look is in your power center's DC buss (the vertical row of AUTO type fuses on the right). One of them should say "furnace" or some such.

The next place to look is on the floor next to the furnace itself where a current limiter may be located. There should be a button on the short side to reset it. (you may need to take 2 screws out of the fake "grill" and swing the door open).

As it turns out there was an inline fuse holder on the red wire connected to the furnace. It was a little hard to get at, but once I found what I was looking for I was determined to get at it. It was easy to open with just a simple twist and low and behold there was a blown 250V 4AMP glass fuse

I guess with the smaller tent trailers the fuse boxes aren't quite so elaborate as yours

And less likely to spend a few extra cents to put a resettable limiter instead of a fuse...
