Is there any reason, other than the noise, that the heat pump can't be used for extended periods? Since it runs on shore power from the park, certainly would be more
economical than running the propane gobbling furnace.

The temp dropped to around 30 last night, but we still never used the heat pump, just lots of blankets. Got up to a sunrise downpour and pre-launched during a short break between the squalls. Left Baker City, Oregon for the last leg of our trip in cloudy weather. It soon turned to a semi-blizzard at the top of Deadman's Pass before Pendleton. And we were hearing of 40 mph gusts atop Manastash Ridge after
Yakima ahead!

As we descended that pass though the worse was actually now behind us, and the skies cleared and winds settled down as we got home to Wenatchee and the RV place were Ernie did well during his "surgery" and was happy to be reunited with his pal Bert.

oh yeah....the RV guy took a look at the furnace problem, and simply by taking the panel off and moving a thing or two and blowing inside it was fixed!!! Go figure.
