Furnace short cycles

Having just spent our second night in our new Hemisphere, the first night that required some furnace support and it drove me crazy. It runs about 3-4 minutes and back off and then kicks back on 20 minutes later (@50F). Unlike a residential furnace, I don't know if the gates are adjustable or not. Does anyone know? I wouldn't mind it warming 3-4 degrees before shutting down... this on a minute and off for 20 just isn't going to work...
