Furrion DV1200 Intermittent Right Channel

The Furrion DV1200 radio/DVD player on my 2017 Georgetown 329 has intermittent sound coming from the right channel. I called Furrion and they said to reset the unit, which I did. That improved the DVD playing quality (had a problem with that, too) but did nothing for the right channel sound. Furrion said to pull the unit from the wall and check the connections on the back. Not sure what I'm supposed to find so thought I'd turn to the FR Forum guys to see if anyone else has had a problem with their DV1200. I would just send it back but there is the possibility the wiring to the two right channel speakers could be shot, at this early stage. Any idea what's happening?

You weren’t specific on wether it was the right speaker in the “A”, “B” or “C” zone.

The wires are spliced to the internal camper speaker wiring behind the unit. You could start there. Wiggle those connections. Most are wire nuts that are crushed with a tool to make the connection. Consult the attached photo for the color pair that is associated with the dead speaker.

You can use any speaker you may have as a test on those wires to see if it is internal or external to the unit.

The wires where they connect to the ceiling speakers usually are not soldered they use a spade clip. Check the connection at the speaker too.
