Furrion Rear Observation camera

I own a 2016 F150, a 2017 Rockwood Mini Lite 2507s and the Furrion rear observation camera system (it's not the backup one). When I first connect my trailer and the truck is off, I get the camera showing on my screen. When I start the engine, nothing. Any one know what's happening?

Start the engine and make sure your lights are on. See if that works.

Turn lights on for parking or full- make sure pin plugged into your truck. I have the same furrion observation camera - works great - it's like a rear view mirror.

Yep. Turning on the lights worked. My F150 has a light sensor that activates my lights when it gets dark. I keep it at "auto" so that I don't have to remember to turn on the lights. That's the problem. Manually switched the running lights on and "voila", the camera works great.

Does anyone know if turning my lights on also sends a charge to the battery? Curious.

That should happen automatically when you start your engine. Depending on the Tow Vehicle the charging pin could be hot all the time at your connector.

Are you saying if my lights are on the trailer battery charges?

If your engine is running, yes. Camera is wired to lights. Battery charge is separate circuit.
