X10...
I'm surprised this question gets asked 2-3 times a week, it seems.

I've owned two 5th wheels and now a motorhome and have always run with the gas on. In fact, I've ask others the same question and haven't heard anyone say to turn it off. I am convinced the manufactures tell you to turn it off only because of liability issues.

Wow, nine replies so far and all leave LP on. Typically this question results in many yeas and nays. I too leave mine on; as someone mentioned, if there is a sudden increase in pressure the tank will shut itself off (at least on "newer" RVs. . .though a 1998 coach I once had came with the auto shutoff).
