Genesis DVD player

Hi just tried to feed DVD in my rv radio in my 2014 flagstaff. It makes a funny grinding sound and spits it out. Any ideas if I have to do something to get it to read.

Mmmmm. Don't know. I guess I need to go check mine out. Just got a new Flagstaff myself and haven't tried the DVD yet. I'm trying to get it to play movies from a USB drive, with no luck either.

I have the Genesis system also, Its a piece of Junk. Have had to do a master reset which works at times. Sometimes the cd takes awhile to load. You must first change the input on the TV then turn on the Gen Sys. The system still gives me trouble but just play with it till something works. Good Luck !

I have a Genesis 3.0 and love it so far.

DVD issues come is a few flavors so a bit more info is needed to help.

1) Is the DVD an OEM or a copy? If a copy, DVD-R or DVD+R?

2) Mounting screws need to be tightened evenly to avoid torquing the faceplate and the binding can cause DVDs to stick or fail to load.

3) Humidity can fog the DVD laser (especially when you first turn on the air conditioner in a hot humid camper) and cause failures to read and subsequent ejection. Run the radio for several hours to bake out the humidity.

4) Is the DVD scratched or damaged in any way? Netflix DVDs are notorious for scratch damage.

Hope this helps. They do go bad, but many times the above can get you back in action.

Master reset.

What is the master reset your referring to. Is it on the radio or something else like a power reset. Thanks

Its in your manual (or here) on page 7... press and hold the Mode button for 10 seconds.
