genesis gt-3.0

went to use dvd player on our 20012 flagstaff and it is not working properly- The on button stays on, the face panel is dim. We have a beautiful picture but no sound. Is this unit junk after only 2 years and little use or can it be repaired?

Could water/humidity have gotten in? Let run for at least 30 minutes to try and dry out the components. Usually, this issue just affects the DVD player's laser (fogging) so I doubt it will help.

Try removing power completely from the unit for 5 minutes (will require a battery disconnect and removal from shore power) as there are two 12 volt power sources that need to be disconnected.

If problem persists after hard reset (above), try to remove the front bezel plate (using a flat blade screw driver and the two slots at the bottom of the bezel) and loosen the screws holding it in. Sometimes over tightening and vibration can warp the control board. BE CAREFUL as the bezel tabs are easy to break.
