Genesis Stereo

Hi. I have a 2013 Rockwood SIG Lite 5th wheel with the Genesis 3.0. Recently it stopped powering on. Checked fuse on equipment, ok. Is there another fuse for it in maybe in battery compartment?
Also, what do you recommend for a replacement to fit in the space where the Genesis sits underneath the TV cabinet? Thanks everyone.

Do a search on the internet. They like so many others mfgs install are basically junk. Places like Crutchfield.com offer a lot of decent, some high end replacements.

Agree that the Genesis is junk. I replaced mine with a home receiver and consider it one of the best "mods" I have made to the RV.

I assume that all of your other 12v devices are working (lights, water pump, etc.)?

Do you have access to a 12v tester of any sort (multimeter, test light, etc.)? Checking for 12v at the fuse seems a lot easier to me than trying to track down other inline fuses/circuit breakers etc. The 12v circuit likely is protected at the battery and or the converter, but there would almost certainly be many more items on that same circuit breaker/fuse (lights, etc.). In a pinch, you can take any 12v device and use it to test for voltage at the stereos fuse.

They make some pretty nice 12v car radios that have Bluetooth, DVD and many other amenities. You could just create a cover and insert the radio into that.

When you get behind your Genesis 3.0 you will find a huge cluster of wires going to all the speakers, etc. It will require a lot of patience to wire in another unit. As mentioned above, Crutchfield offers a "plug 'n play" replacement but it is $600 if memory serves and it may not be any better quality than the Genesis unit.
There are several good quality car radios that have most of the same features as the genesis but wiring them in will take carpentry and electronics ability. One feature we require is weather band and that will knock out most of the contenders.
Just my $0.02

There should be at least one inline fuse behind the radio on the red wire, and one behind or IN the Power Center (where the circuit breakers and main fuses are). The Power Center fuse may also provide power to the roof antenna power switch wall plate, so look to see if the light comes on when you toggle between roof and cable.

The fuse behind the power center will be in a blade type fuse holder.

I only saw one fuse back of radio where red power wire is and good. Are you talking about the radio fuse in the power converter? Checked that and good. Thanks. Let me know.

If you have a radio fuse that is labeled; then yes.
Mine is on a "pigtail" behind the unit.

Have you tried a "hard reset"?
