Genessis 3.0

Hello fellow rockwood folks.
My new rockwood ultra lite 5th wheel came with Genesis 3.0 system.
Mounted below the Genesis is a wall plate with AV jacks.
Correct me if I'm wrong but I'm thinking I can tie the AV (audio/video) output of my satellite box into this wall jack which will input into the Genesis 3.0 which will in turn output AV to my TV.
If this is the case I'm not sure why it does not work.

Had the same problem with our new Flagstaff 5ver and I just gave up and called our Dish service man and he came out and hooked it up someway that we can get Dish and the surround sound on both inside tvs and the outside one(when we buy it) Have no idea how he did it, but it only took him about 30 minutes.

The wall plate should be AV1 on the Genesis, and if you have the wall plate I am thinking about, you will need to use the selector switch to indicate which input you want to send to AV1...
Pictures may help.

I came across this post because I was looking for info, this is the same wall plate I have in my 2012 Puma Unleashed, I know you can use the RCA cables off the rear of a Directv receiver, and I can watch TV in the main area, and also when I use the outside hook up via just the yellow RCA cable. All my sound comes throough the surrond just perfect, what I want to know, (only because I did'nt try it before putting everything away) If I hook up my directtv this way, can I then hook up the Tv's in the bed room and the garage, with only the coax hook up and watch Direct?

I don't think so. The coax signal is RF and the RCA connectors are line level.

Yes my wall plate is the same as the one in the pic. After I posted I pulled the wall plate off and guess what I found. The six pin connector that supplies the Genesis with AV was not connected.

Well THAT would certainly gum up the works...

A question for those of you who have the Concertone/Genesis 5.1 system with subwoofer. Are you getting much out of your sub? I can barely hear anything coming out of it, even with the bass level turned up all the way. It is not dead, I can see the speaker moving slightly, but there is not much coming out of it, even though the other 5 small speakers seem to be fine with plenty of volume.

Big Vic, I'm having the same problem with my subwoofer. Anyone with any ideas on what could be the problem, please chime in. Thanks

I was hardly getting anything out of mine either. I ended up taking the speaker grill down to expose the connections, 2 on each side of the speaker. I simply switched one pair of wires to the terminals and the sub came alive. It was wired backwards from the factory.

To be honest I didn't know there was a sub. I better have a look. Sounds like it doesn't have much volume either.
