Genisis radio not working
Our storage facility hooked our battery backwards. We had a lot of blown fuses in the main panel that we replaced. Everything works fine now but the radio. Does it have an inline fuse that could be blown? And if it does, when we take it apart, where would we find it? Or if not, what else could be the problem? Thank you in advance for any help.

I don't have a genesis so I'm guessing.
You don't mention make, model, year of your rig so I'm really guessing!
My radio has some dim face illumination even when it's off. Did your genesis have
that before? Is it still dimly illuminated now?
My radio does in fact have an inline fuse behind the radio. I'd have to pull off the
faceplate trim and then remove several screws and finally pull the radio out of
the cabinet to access that fuse ;-(
I'm sorry I can't tell you if you have one of those hidden fuses or not but it's
very possible.
It's also possible the radio is fried but you definitely need to be sure it's got power
now before you count it out.
AS an aside-- trailer battery wires are not color coded like cars! Sometimes they
have a white and a black wire.
Batteries are almost always marked + and - and also colored black and red.
You probably do NOT connect the black wire on the trailer to the black post on
the battery!
I'm guessing that's what your storage people did do and they were wrong as you
know.
Now you need to get some RED electrical tape or RED spray paint and clearly mark
your + wire RED so it won't happen again.
Good luck with your radio!!

Thank you for your advice on the battery. We have a 3065 Windjammer, 2011. But we had the radio replaced in 2012. We'll take the radio apart and look for the fuse. Hopefully that's it and it still works. Happy 4th!

I love a happy ending!
Now don't forget to clearly mark your battery leads. We get folks
here pretty often who have connected their batteries backwards.
It's often not pretty....
Happy Camping!

Yes, every spring during the "de-winterizing season", there is always a rash of posts on the camping forums asking why nothing works in their trailer after connecting the battery. Those black and white wires will get you every time.

GENESIS GT-2.0 DEAD FROM THE GIT-GO
A few months ago we bought a "used" Mini-Lite from our local Rockwood dealer. The first owners bought and then sold the unit back to the dealer without even unpackaging the accessories. It still smelled brand new because it was. We got a perfect deal.
The first time we went to use the radio/CD it was dead as a door nail. Later checked and the 15A buss in-line fuse behind the unit was blown and I replaced it. Now, the circuit had power for the first time BUT STILL NO RADIO! Not even a red-lit power button. The radio chassis got hot so I unplugged the power. The radio had been produced with an internal short.
I called Forest River who told me to call Greg Rollins the electronics guy. He asked a few questions and said he was sending me a new unit. I am very pleased because I am not the first owner and the one year warranty is gone.
I have found Forest River to be very cooperative in regards to customer service issues.
To those who are disappointed the Forest River doesn't have a Bose sound system, go buy a 3 million dollar unit. You cannot expect a filet mignon at McDonalds.
