Heat & A/C on together

Last weekend I took my Sabre out for the first time this year. After the long winter, just couldn't wait to get out again. So it's our shakedown trip to see that all is working the way it should. Well, when we got to our site, and got all set up, I turn on the gas and fire up the furnace, and both the heat and the a/c both come on. So I shut off the circuit breaker for the a/c. So I'm thinking I need to replace the thermostat. Does anyone else have any other theory's?

Could be your fan mode is set to HI or LO and should be set to AUTO.

I think bubbles hit it on the head. I read my owners manual last night for my 2015 Wildcat and it said the exact same thing. Thermostat needs to be on auto, if on high or low air conditioner fan will run also.

X2. Look on page 9 of the T-stat manual.

If the fan switch was set to auto, you may have a stuck relay on the AC. I had this to happen on my home AC, ants got in relay ,it can cause it to stick on or off.

its normal like most others say. Just turn AC breaker off when using heat like you've already done

X5 or 6 on the thermostat being on auto, just switch to high or low, or switch to auto if on high or low.
(Sorry cant remember which is which, ive only used the furnace 1 time)
