Heat pump and furnace

Hello, I am very new at Rving and will be going on my maiden voyage. I am now loading up my Forest River Berkshire for the first time. It is cold where I live and so I have tried several time to get the moron home heated up. Both the heat pump and the furnace will start but all I'm getting is cold air. At first I thought that I needed it to let it warm up,but yesterday I was in there freezing for 2 hours and still no warm air flowing through. Can anyone help,I know it is probably something very simple.

Stop trying with the A/C heat pump.
Controls on Furnace only. Is the gas on? Do you hear the igniter clicking, you can hear it burning from outside by the exhaust.
If your gas valve is turned off or if your out of gas the igniter will click maybe three times and the blower will blow cold air for about two minutes, then everything shut off.

We were told the heat pump was only used to "take the chill off" and that it would not be effective for temps under about 50.

This is a great thread. It has a list of things that could affect the furnace operation:
No Heat From Furnace
