So basically they dont say it cools better....just that its safer than hydrogen absorbtion, and the increased weight of the helium helps the mixture sink better?....its still an absorbtion setup but with helium in the chamber....seems ok...my reg ol hydrogen bomb rv fridge works fine so far...lol

Me too...the first time I heard ammonia fridge I was confused. ..I worked as an ase certified a/c guy on cars for many years...but no compressor? ? Huh???...and to boot my college edumacation is centered around chemistry...lol....its always fun to learn!!...I love it when people teach me things....

Here is a good comparison of the two technologies. It seems that the Atwood does not cool as well as the conventional technology....also a ton of info about replacing the guts should your fridge go south. These guys appear to be the real deal in rv fridge repair!
