[QUOTE=Samwar3;908946]Okay, she's moved and my 50' 12-2 cord reached.
I'm going to let her sit for an hour or so then turn the fridge back on.
That long enough??[/QUOTE

No need to wait an hour, fire it up NOW!

When it is under heat, it causes the amonia mixture to rise from the bottom vessel(round tank) to the top of the tubing grid. When not under heat from (propane, electric element) the mixture returns to the round vessel. After it settles, put it under propane as the heat source (set button to gas only). I say that because you are running a 50ft.12/2 extension, and you can't be sure your gettiing enough current to the electric heating element, for sufficient heating of the amonia mixture and thus the cooling result. You will however, under propane heat. But, plug in your RV, so the piezo ignitor drawing current, does not run your batts down.

As it started to work then quit, it is most likely due to being out of level. 12deg is way too much. The ammonia boils due to the heat. It then condenses back into the heating chamber where it evaporates again. If the unit is not level, after condensing it will not flow ( or at least much of it will not )) back into the heating chamber to start all over. Prolonged use when not level can damage the fridge.

Exactly, and when engaged the default is to the 110v side. Just trying to eliminate a low voltage issue, thats why I suggest propane as your heat source.

Great, you were Johnny on the spot in getting things moved around which I know is a lot of work.

Hope the rest of your packing up and trip are a ton of fun.

I would. it will take a few hours to drain the blocked coils and cool the boiler.
Let us know how you fair. An evaporative fridge can be damaged by running it out of level. Once all the liquid is trapped in the coils, the boiler can overheat and crack.
