Ok, thank you! one thing I just thought while researching that model, what if it's the 30 amp breaker on my converter that went out? How would one test to see if that breaker is bad?

^X2^
I believe the Centurion 3000 is no longer made.
Get the WFCO model.
See it here:

I'd call best converter and ask them.
I would not stick a wfco in anything.

Progressive is the standard in replacement converters. I have read the other entries of this thread and feel your problem is indeed the converter. Best converter will guide you to the correct progressive for your unit or you can contact them direct.

I would also ask for a Progressive replacement, as I feel Progressive makes a better converter than WYCO.

I have used WFCO converters for years with no problems. They are good converters for a decent price. I wouldn't pay more for another manufacturer.

There's better for not much more.
Better for your battery / batteries.
There's threads weekly about wfco converters going bad .

Mine may shoot craps today or tomorrow, but have had WFCO converters for years and years and no problems with them or batteries. It's just a personal preference IMO.
If ours goes out, it will probably be replaced with another WFCO or maybe a Progressive if the prices are the same.

I've had WFCO converters in the last three RV's, and the last one lasted 9 years before I had a power surge take out the charging unit. The one before that lasted until we traded, which was about 5 years. Never overcharged the batteries and they were powered on all the time.
I can't say that PI isn't better, but I don't think WFCO is as bad as people think they are.
Saying that you hear of WFCO's failing every day and you never hear of PI's failing, doesn't say much if WFCO has 90% of the market share. (P.S. I don't know what market share WFCO has. That was just an illustration.)

I've not had a problem with WFCO units that were in a couple of units we had.
They worked fine and never cooked the batteries.
Most everyone here seems to think Best Converter is the place to go for converters so I was surprised when it was suggested that you should contact them and ask them to recommend something other than what they had already recommended. ??

Is there a difference between the WFCO and the progressive, other than price. Our 2000 Flagstaff Pop Up is 15 years old and I don't want to spend anymore money then I have to considering we won't have this for another three years.

All around better charger.
With the charge wizard pendant you can also control charging rate!
