Help on covering holes from Furrion Mounting Bracket

I have the Furrion Mounting Bracket & my RV is pre-wired for the Furrion Camera. I bought a difference brand camera and I'm sure those holes won't match up with the Furrion holes. Looking to see how other people installed theirs and what you used to cover the holes so nothing leaks. I am wondering if I could leave the bracket gasket on & just mount my new camera to that?? I haven't removed the Furrion Bracket yet to see how it all works. Just trying to gather as much info as I can before I do anything. Thanks

I would try very hard to make the Furrion bracket work just to keep from drilling more holes.

If you do end up filling and drilling use JB Weld to fill the old holes.

I am in the same boat as I bought a Rear Vision camera from RearViewSafety.com for my 26RR. I had a good look at the Furrion housing and realized it will not work but have not yet been game to pull it off. I am also unsure about the Furrion plug that is there. Can anyone tell me what sort of plug it is and what it is connected to? I may just tuck it out of the way and run my own line from a nearby light.
Any words of wisdom or humour will be well received.

Thanks for that redirect, it was very helpful. Now I know what's what, I hope I can change it to suit my purposes. Thanks for the help. I am currently doing a test week of my new 26RR in a campground close the my home. All has gone well but it is raining as I write. But so far no leaks.

Here are some pictures of the connection plug and the components. My suggestion is that you take the rubber base of the Furrion mount and use it as a template on your different camera's mount. See if you can drill some holes in the new mount from your 'other camera mount' that will line up so your are using the same holes that the Furrion was using. I've attached a PDF that has 4 picture closeups.
