Heng's Range Hood---Bad Fan Motor?

Minor problem, 2012 Lexington 283ts, keep blowing the 15 amp fuse everytime Heng's Range Hood fan motor is turned on. Checked wireing, but it's on the same wire circuit as range light and slide-out light, which all work without blowing fuse. Only turning on fan motor blows fuse.
Tried swapping the light switch with the fan switch, no change, light works, fan blows fuse, so it's not the switch.
Wondering if the motor is bad, and if anyone else has had the same problem.
New motor is only $20 bucks or so, and I'll probably replace it, but just thought I'd ask.

Just threw a Heng's fan motor in the trash. I replaced my noisy vent motor with a SAM-1 replacement system. What a difference.

Quite a job to replace the old system but worth it. I had to drill out 32 spot welds to make the conversion to remove the motor and motor frame.

We can now hear the TV when the vent fan is running, can't even hear it!

I saw your post about the swap you did, but don't want to spend that much. It's used very little as I do 90% of the heavy cooking on the grill. I think we have needed to use it 2 or 3 times in a year. Just one of those small burrs under my skin that I want to take care of.
