Hooking up satellite antenna

I have a 2018 Forest River Forester 3011DS , 32’ Class C MH.

I want to know how to best hook up a satellite antenna, and once connected, will it be viewable on all TVs, or just the main living area TV?

Above my entertainment center are two coax faceplates. In the lower compartment is the one that has a coax attached to it that I assume is where the rooftop digital antenna signal comes in, and the coax goes to a splitter, enabling me to get a signal on all TVs. It has the little green light that I understand is a signal amplifier indicator, and I have clicked it off to use Campground cable attached to the coax connector on the side of my rig, near the shore power connector. I am all fine and good with that.

Then comes the mystery coax faceplate in the upper compartment with an HDMI female plug integrated into the face plate. Is this connected to the outside connector on the side, or another connector up top? The HDMI Plug does not seem to be attached to the TV in the living area . . . Should it?

I have played around with a connector to my iPhone, plugging it in to an HDMI PORT of the TV with an adapter, then using the “source” button on the remote, I am able to stream stuff over iPhone to TV. I am all fine and good with that.

But, when plugging into the HDMI Port on the upper coax faceplate, I cannot find a signal coming through to any TV Port. Should I be able to?

Is there a rooftop connection to the coax wall plate inside?

Where can I hook the sat dish and Wally receiver up to get the signal to the TV(s)?

I have a new Dish Tailgator dish. So far, I place it outside somewhere that has a good line of sight south. I have found that this is not always where the RV sits.

As for the hookup, the line from the dish has to go directly to the Wally and then to the TV. That is, I by-pass all the wiring in the RV. Dish told me that there can not be any splitters in the line; ie direct line to the Wally. I do get great TV!

I have not tried a splitter line off the TV to another TV, but I have heard that it is possible.

I know there is a lot of information on this subject, here.

Yep! I do not want to mount sat ant on top of MH. I too prefer to park in the shade, which definitely hampers reception.

Of course Dish & Direct TV don’t want you to use a splitter for extra tv's regardless of your pic quality! They want extra fees for extra sets!
