Hopkins TPMS repeater

I got a Hopkins TPMS for Christmas last year. I tried to use it my first trip out this year but it kept losing signal between the sensors and receiver. I'm pretty sure I'm within the 38' range the manufacturer suggest. I guess I need to get the repeater but I'm wondering where you mount the thing. Bed of truck? inside the front cap on the trailer? Anyone used one of these repeaters and where did you mount it? Thanks a bunch.
