How do I install TV antenna on 2012 Clipper 106 Sport

We picked up a 2012 Clipper 106 Sport. I had the dealer install the air conditioning on the roof. Is there a place for an antenna to be installed or places on the roof an antenna should not be installed. Are there factory instructions for an antenna installation on the roof? I don't want to make a mess of this installation.

i've owned a couple of popups and i've never seen one with a tv antenna. one big issue is how do you run the wiring down the roof supports, if it's tv cable wiring? it would have to be down inside the posts, since the opening and closing of the roof would pinch wiring outside of the posts.

I would not run the wiring down from the roof. I would mount the booster - 12v receptacle to the inside of the roof. The t.v. coax can be attached at that point and drop down to the t.v. The booster should be over the counter the t.v. will sit on. The roof has the 12v dc in it for the lights.

Our Flagstaff popup had interior/ext cable hook ups. It used the small stubby antenna on the side which is also for AM/FM reception. never used it, so no idea how it would work.

If you are going to the trouble to mount an antenna on the roof, and then mount a 12v booster box inside and just have a piece of coax to run down to your TV, which will of course be sitting on the counter, why not just skip all that and carry a small set of powered rabbit ears with you. Radio shack runs them on sale for 30 or less, which is way cheaper than what you are discussing, plus you don't cut any holes in your roof. The only downside I see is that you would need shore power or a 12v adapter for the rabbit ears.

Our 2003 Potomac has the rv t.v. antenna. The reception with digital broadcasts is much better than with a portable antenna. Plus, I can't forget the antenna if its mounted to the roof.

My parents used to have a Jayco popup with a winnegard tv ant. It had ext Cable/Ant jack on the box, and you just connect a length of coax from the roof antenna to the input on the popup box (before you raise the roof) and wrapped it around one of the corner supports. Worked great!
