We are going to need a little more info. What model RV? What thermostat? Are you sure it is the furnace fan and not the AC fan? Is AC on?

2017 2104s. You can hear it as you walk in the door,it's a furnace vent located next to the breaker box close to the floor. Everything seems to be turned off.

X2, the converter fan will run with most loads.
Turn your furnace on, you will hear the difference.

Get your manual out and read it, the manual will tell you were the converter is and what it does.

A converter takes 110v AC input and produces 12v DC to run MANY things in an RV. It is generally situated behind the breaker/fuse panel. When there is a 12v load, the converter comes on. It has a cooling fan which runs when it's working. If the fan noise you hear is near the breaker box, you're most likely hearing the converter fan which was the answer in the 1st thread where you posted your question.

You're trying to solve a different issue - that of the A/C blower running during furnace operation. This OP is hearing the converter fan running when nothing is on.

If you sure it is the furnace after checking multiple vents then I'd pull the fuse as a last resort. We had a similar experience where the A/C and furnace were running together when I only wanted the furnace. Pulled the fuse for the A/C. Next time I went to use it after returning the fuse all was right again.
I put this one down as thermostats can have brain farts as well I guess.

If the RV has been sitting for a week or more without being plugged in or the battery cutoff switch not turned off, you have drained the battery very low. When you plug in the converter will charge the battery at a high current level and that will heat up the converter and cause the auto fan to kick in. Try leaving the unit plugged in for a half to full day and check for the fan noise again. The fan will also run if you operate a lot of high current 12V appliances.

How loud is the fan? If it sounds like a jet airplane is landing in your RV, it is the furnace. If the fan noise is barely noticeable, it is the power converter. If it is the power converter, don't worry about it for now, it is doing what is is supposed to do. That fan will run most of the time that you are plugged in and have lights, refrigerator, etc. turned on.
Like others have said, take the time to read your manual. It doesn't help to only read them when you have problems. The manuals will save your bacon (in some cases -
literally).

Curt, thanks for returning and posting the resolution. In the future other members may experience the same issue and this thread will be their problem-solver.
