I read the instructions on the outside, but don't see where a "reset" button is.
There is a knob with "OFF" and "PILOT" and other stuff which can be pushed down, but no specific reset looking button.
The manual has instructions for shutting it off and winterizing it but not turning it on!
For both furnace and WH, they are gas pilot operated. Both on same priciple of maintaining pilot at all times, when needed and main burner operates on thermostat. You must estaablish the pilot, just like in the oven.
Turn contol knob to "pilot", believe red button is start, hold in and hold lighter flame in gap in burner at nozzle. Hold open flame there for 20 seconds or until he pilot lights, just a small blue/gold flame. When its steady, release the ignite button (like a prime button) When flame is steady rotate the black knob to "operate" or on. Can't see markings in photo but you can tell. Increase thermo and main burner will light. The water heater will light and cut out when water reaches temp. Thats how my units worked before DSI. Make sure water heater is full of water prior to light off. Make sure furnace vent fan operates before lighting main burner.
