How do you unpair a phone - Genesis GT-2.0
I tried paring my phone with the Genesis GT-2.0 in my trailer and was not happy with it. I unpaired from my phone but it seems the GT-2.0 will not respect that and keeps trying to pair with my phone repeatedly. I am getting extremely frustrated with the non stop pairing requests coming from the stereo.
Please help! How do I make the stereo forget my phone?

I would look at it the other way around. Your phone is the one that connects to your trailer. Get your phone to forget the trailer.

You don't mention what phone you have. Look for a 'forget' option - possibly under an advanced settings dialog. Do you pair with other devices? If not, turn bluetooth off on your phone. Can you turn the media player's bluetooth off?

I have used the forget on my phone. My Android is telling me that the Genesis GT-2.0 is "requesting to connect". I have a headset that I use and the Genesis keeps interrupting my connection during phone calls.
I have also done the factory reset on the Genesis.
Also pulled the fuse and let sit with no power.

Turn off your Bluetooth on your phone, you can also make sure your Genesis unit is set to the radio or CD or some other option other than Bluetooth.

Doesn't matter what the stereo is set to, it keeps bombarding my phone if the stereo is turned on. Even during a DVD movie. Turning off bluetooth in my phone is not an option because I used Bluetooth for other things.

You can just turn it off when in the trailer then restart later. Once the pairing shows up is when you should be deactivating that particular device. Should be able to view what items you have paired and select to get rid of it. Later RJD

I am full timing it in the trailer and I used a Bluetooth headset all the time. This is interrupting my connection with my headset. The problem is not the phone. It is the stereo. I had a similar problem happen with a rental car but the car had an option to delete the phone.

I have done this several times. The stereo keeps pinging the MAC Address of my ounces Bluetooth. My phone has forgotten the stereo.

The menu button on the stereo should allow you to see the paired units. There will be a option there for deleting

There should be a setting within the Genesis to delete the phone.

X2. That is the problem. Just like two phones in the same car. Primary phone doesn't allow second phone to pair up

It has nothing to do with the phone, the unit will keep calling to the phone. Do a factory reset, press and hold the mode button until unit shuts off (about 10 seconds), then power back on and see if it still tries to connect.

I have done that many many times. I have paired it then unpaired and deleted from from phone. It is the stereo remembering the MAC Address of my phone and pinging it requesting a connection.

^^This is about the only useful reply I've seen in this thread.
Everyone else keeps coming up with solutions the OP said he tried in the first post. Where's that pet peeve thread again?
Anyway, here's a link to the manual. It doesn't say anything about deleting paired units though.
GENESIS GT-2.0 OPERATION MANUAL Pdf Download.

I went through the menu button on the remote which brought up a display screen. This only works while a DVD is playing BTW.
There was no Bluetooth options whatsoever in the menus. I'm thinking I need to do a firmware update.
I have done factory reset four times now.
The user manual is worthless.
