At one time they did but don't know if they do any longer. You can bet tho they do service what they sell nice folks to deal with. Later RJD

The sound system, speakers and head unit, in my 2016 Microlite 21DS is so inferior I've abandoned it in favor of portable bluetooth speakers for music and a laptop with an hdmi port to connect to the tv for dvd/blue ray discs.

With the iRV, the bluetooth connection hiccups frequently, the inside speakers sound like old transistor radio speakers and, like others have said, you better remember to shut off your outside speakers EVERY TIME you turn on your unit...whoever thought that was a good idea? And this is with a 2016 trailer.

Shame that FR deals with such an inferior product yet promotes it as such a fine addition to their products.

Guess ya get what ya pay for. Buy a more expensive tt and you may get a nicer stereo. I did not buy my unit for a high quality Stereo system. Works just fine for me. Later RJD

Interesting supposition...does anyone know if iRV makes any other grade of head unit and speakers? If so, the "get what you pay for" model I got is certainly at the bottom of the heap. Either way, it is unacceptable especially compared to a $40 bluetooth portable speaker.

Getting what you pay for is somewhat true, my Class A had a ton of room for the expensive electronics. I did not expect to find that in my new TT. They put allot of features in a small box with the I RV. For me its a learning curve like not having a onboard generator or super large batteries with inverter. If they stand behind the product like others have said thats a plus even in a 26' TT IMHO.

I sorta take issue with the supposition that you get what you pay for. When we bought our Rockwood Windjammer I sure didn't consider that to be a bottom of the line trailer. To say that because it has an IR V radio in it that I got what I paid for to me is a poor analogy because I considered the trailer I bought to be a medium to high end product. Just my humble opinion

I have no problems with my iRV 66. Yes, this is the second unit and, yes, all three zones come on at power-up, but all in all, the iRV 66 is a nice unit and serves its purpose for me. Even my wife, who has troubles operating the DirecTv remote, can use the iRV 66, and she knows to turn off zones 2 and 3 if she doesn't want sound there.

The problem is that I don't think there is a better alternative out there for RV usage.
I haven't found another all-in-one system with in-wall DVD/BluRay player and A/V receiver in one.
I have no doubt a home audio system would be way better (I have a high-end system at home), but finding space to fit a DVD/BluRay player, and a separate 5.1 receiver is near impossible, especially with the lack of storage around the TV area in our camper (the cupboards underneath/above the TV are too shallow for any separate blu-ray player).

I'd love to be able to have a BluRay player in-place of the DVD player, remove the graphic equalizer display (which doesn't work anyway, and is just irritating), and have it actually store settings (TV resolution (720p vs 1080p), AND zones on/off).

If anyone knows of any alternatives that resolve some of those issues, and can fit in the same mounting, or in shallow cabinets (without overheating) then please let me know

IRV Radio

Normally they just replace the whole unit.. Not worth trying to fix it. You should just contact Todd Eash at Patrick Ind in Elkhart Indiana, He will send you out a new upgraded unit.

Who at Forrest River do I contact to get another IRV 66 technologies DVD. The speakers keep cutting in and out and I cannot get a Forrest River dealer to set up time to replace it until late June, in which case I will be out of warranty. I will be happy to replace it myself and return the defective unit. I just need to know who to contact.

Try this thread. It has a contact sheet for both warranty and parts.

You can call Todd Eash at Patrick Industry(574-970-8287) and they will send you a replacement free of charge, but you must return the old unit. Not hard to replace. Got mine in about 3 days. Later RJD

I finally got mine mostly straightened out last night. I had to pull the unit and connect everything up correctly. The RCA plugs for the TV were in the output jacks and needed to be moved to the input jacks. The A and B speakers were of course wired wrong. It was bad enough that I had to rewire but any wire that was not used during installation had been cut short which made it tougher to properly connect the correct wires.

If you have a TV with an optical output I'd thoroughly recommend ditching the RCA plugs, and instead running a TOSlink optical cable from the TV to the back of the unit. That way you can have Dolby 5.1 from any TV channels that broadcast it, and at least digital stereo for the rest.
(Just select the digital input for audio, I think they label it as 'DOT/DCC' on the screen iirc)

I ran a cheap optical cable ($6 from amazon) along the same path as the HDMI cable)

Alternatively if your TV support HDMI-ARC (audio return channel), and you connect the HDMI cable to the correct ports on both the TV and the iRV then you can just use the HDMI cable for digital audio (unfortunately my current TV doesn't support ARC)

Actually I posted that reply before your post had appeared.
I guess we were replying at the same time, or I'd left the page open in my browser for a while. Thanks for digging out the info tho
