IRV 33

We bought a 2016 2703WS Rockwood. It has an IRV 33 We watched 1 blue ray movie. Off and on the movie pauses for one to two seconds. We tried to watch another movie & now all we get is reading disc and disc read error? It's brand new !!! Reg DVD movies will play. Blue ray movies will not. Has anyone else encountered this problem? Is there a software fix for it? Thanks !

The IRV is not a blue ray player check your manual

iRV34 Video Format

Does anyone know what the video format the iRV-34 uses when you plug an USB thumb drive to watch a movie? I tried using .mp4 but that does not work.

IRV66

My TT is a 2014 Rockwood 2604WS with the IRV66...otherwise known as the worlds worst stereo. I'm not interested in having a dealer provide a lousy fix for this piece of crap stereo. I checked Mr. Google and found a guy on You Tube that put in a Pioneer car DVD receiver stereo system in his TT. His is am/fm, cd/DVD, BT compatible, provides more power while drawing less juice etc.

This is the route I'm going to take. I spoke with a local car stereo shop and they said that the RV stereos draw a lot of power and he suspected this might be the cause for the stereo cutting out and low points in the audio? At any rate this is the route I'm headed for.

Is there anyone out there that has done this? If so I'd like to talk.

Thx
Dave

You must not have owned a Concertone RV stereo, generally agreed on all RV forums as the world's worst.

We have same issue in our 2017 2703WS emerald edition RV and has not worked since we got it. Also learned that our TV amplifier would not stay on. Going in for warranty work this month. Also video freezes and flashes in and out but sound will keep going.

I am very interested in this, too.
Anyone else here installed this?

I used a video converter with the settings resolution 640x352 frame rate 23.976 and bit rate around 800.
The codec needs to be divx and file extension .avi
Works good.

We just use a BT speaker and stream music from one our mobile devices. The radio is not a good quality radio.

I did this... didn't use a "Pioneer", but I did use a "Dual" branded unit. Also replaced the garbage OEM speakers with more quality speakers. Made a HUGE difference!!

It's really not hard to do at all. Biggest advice I can give is "Don't be intimidated by all of the wires." It really isn't that complicated. I'll try to help as much as I can!

Thanks for the idea. I did not realize they made a in dash DVD/Stereo like this. I don't need outside speakers(waste in my book) so a zone 3 option is not required.

Curious as to what speakers you used.
Have not heard of Dual, will have to do some research.

For the interior I used some Rockford Fosgate 3-way 6" car speakers, and for the exterior I used MB Quart marine 6" 2-way speakers. The outdoor speakers are nice.

Antenna

I have the irv 63,knock on wood, I've not experienced the frustrating issue I've read here.
I have another situation, I live in Canada, close to Buffalo N.Y.
Which means there are many good radio stations that are available. How ever the reception on this unit is terrible.
Static in all stations that should be clear.
I've removed the unit from cabinet, all wires, antenna are attached and in good shape.
Does any know where a potential diagram can be found that I may trace and hopefully identify a disconnect?
If not, with those who have a working unit how is the reception?
Thank you
