Icemaker in Dometic 4 door fridge

2014 3051s with Dometic 4 door fridge, does the ice maker only work when you are on city water hook-up, or should it work on both pump and city?

It is powered by AC (just like home) and that can come from either city or genny. Accordingly, water can be from either city or water pump. Any combination of the previous will suffice. The water pump supplies water to every place that city water does.
