This "cover" pops off and it is plugged in just with a (phone) jack

The other end of that "phone" cable is plugged into the control box in the A/C unit in your ceiling. It's how all the Dometic CCC 2 system components connect.

I doubt that will reset the unit. You may want to cycle the breaker for the A/C.
