Inside stove

So.....we have the normal three-burner stove/oven combination in our TT. It doesn't have the individual burner grates like the outside stove, which are similar to something like this:

It has just one big grate that goes over all the burners. And I absolutely hate it. The "rungs" are spaced too far apart and smaller pots and pans sit cattywompus until you find just the right spot. It's just annoying. Are there any aftermarket grates available to cover the whole stove top? Or could I buy the individual burner grates?

Sorry, but I'm not near my TT, or else I would take a photo of the thing. I'll try to remember to post one in the next few days.

I'm looking for a simple and hopefully inexpensive fix. I could have one fabricated, but it would cost a small fortune.

Thanks in advance!!

You've got the same cooktop found in just about all campers and I've never seen individual grates available for that kind of cooktop. We have never experienced a problem with cooking on ours, maybe our pans are larger.

Try checking with the service department at the dealer and see if they have any ideas. There's a good chance that they could borrow one from a unit on the lot to fit for size & find out the answer.

I,ve found them on line under gas stoves grates, Amana and Maytag. Only problem is remove and stow or invent a way to secure them undreamt. Agree they are much more stable holding pans.

The grill design on the stove top in our new Silverback is completely different from what we had on the stoves in our previous two fifth wheels and yes, smaller pots can tip in the space between the rungs.

I finally remembered to take a picture of it. Frustrating, because smaller pans don't sit straight; they fall between the rungs.

Buy the individual grates and drill some holes if you have to for them to fit in.

That's the same grill we have on our stove, we don't like it either. I much prefer the old design.

Anyone find a fix for this? It's pretty frustrating for someone like me who does alot of cooking inside and with just the two of us has small pots.

I have the same. I thought I was being picky when I disliked it. Even more, I dislike that it's SLIPPERY. I'm worried that a pan will just slide off it!

We just bought a couple of these:

Hopefully they work well and it's an easy solution.
