iRV32 Remote Control Problems

The remote for our iRV32 has to be held about 2 inches from the iRV32 unit and even then it hardly ever works.
I've replaced the battery.
I've also tried getting a "learning remote" (Dish 50.0) learn the iRV32 codes.
None of this has worked.
Any suggestions from anyone?
I'm seriously considering replacing the iRV32.

Maybe check the IR sensor on the unit? Make sure it clean. Maybe even open it up and check there. You also have an option to download their app to use to control it. If that doesn't get you anywhere, then replacing it is a good option (I think the IRV34 only runs about $200).

That's what I just did.

Replaced it with an "All Region" DVD player and soundbar with Bluetooth.

As far as I'm concerned the IRV32 would make a good wheel chock if it was a little stronger built.

I might put a good car stereo in the hole but for now the disconnected IRV just fills it. Also doesn't draw any power when not used as I pulled it'd fuse.

And I can attest the IRV66 is not a lot better so dont consider that an upgrade.

If we spent more time inside than out, there'd be something altogether different in there for sure.

I have an IRV34 and I agree, it isn't impressive, but I don't really see much else on the market that targets RV's. You could go with what TitanMike suggests, but then you aren't going to be listening to music on 12V. I guess all you really need is a Bluetooth speaker for you phone, though. I will probably upgrade my speakers and leave it at that, myself. We don't watch much TV and for that I have a Fire TV Stick that plugs into the HDMI port on the TV (or IRV34). I think I have watched maybe 2 or 3 DVD movies in the last 5 years (and I own over 100 DVDs).

brand new rig and the irv32 sucks bad. Have to use the remote on the phone to get it to kind of work. Can't get the tv to volume through the unit and use the sound bar. Very little information out there on making it work and just not worth dragging four hours for them to tell me it doesn't work.
