Just wanted to pass on that the customer service Bob & RVtronics provided was great, replaced my radio and now problems are all fixed.

iRV problems

I have a 2016 Rockwood 2304DS. The iRV remote changes the TV channel when I try to change the volume. Dealer says they never heard of this before. That was yesterday. Today the unit will not play a DVD. Is anyone else having these issues?

Yes there have been issues with this radio Read the post above and it should give you some guidance. May want to read some of the other post here that will give you the contact person fo call for a replacement. Later RJD

Yes. We just took delivery of our Flagstaff 8529IKBS and have basically the same problem.
We found when using the iRV remote to change volume, it will change whatever the last function was that was used by the TV remote.

If I use the TV remote to change channel down, and then use the iRV remote to raise the volume it will also change the TV channel down.

If I use the TV remote to lower the TV volume and then use the iRV to raise the volume it will also lower the TV volume! WTH!

Haven't had time to investigate. Was hoping someone here had already went through this and had a solution.

DVD's play fine though.

I did have praise for the iRV33, but my has lost all sound. Time for a warranty trip.

Update. Called my dealer (Rousseau's RV in Lakeville Ma). No questions, FR sending a new unit. They have had a few with issues at the dealership.

iRV volume/speaker issues

We have multiple issues with our iRV stereo system.
First -the volume level when playing the radio. At volume level 1, it is STILL too loud (I like my music loud & also am hard of hearing). It makes it impossible to carry on a conversation without having to shout.
Second - All three speaker zones come on as soon as the unit is powered on. This can be embarrassing and frustrating if we forget to turn zones 2 & 3 off EVERY time we power the unit up. It seems like the unit should be able to be programmed and remember the speaker selection settings, just like a home stereo.
Third - When watching a movie or TV and using the unit, the volume changes periodically, like it is switching between speakers and subwoofer, or something like that. It doesn't cut out completely, but sections of conversations are just lost.


I see that others are having similar problems with the volume level, but no one has mentioned the other issues we are having. The manual is as good as not having one. Any suggestions?

Hi Dean. Welcome to the forum. To answer your question on the volume it is a issue that is corrected by getting the unit replaced. As for the different zones this something they may fix down the road. When I replaced my unit it still turned on all zones. Something I can live with now that I got the volume under control. This is a known issue with the IRV Mfg. Take it back to the dealer and IRV will replace it free.
