Lack of Reception

I saw a couple of other people were having the lack of reception problem with the radio and the tv like I am having. I also have the hissing in the living room problem as well.

Has anyone had there lack of reception problem fixed? It is very frustrating!!!

How about getting rid of the hissing sound? Very frustrating as well!!!

The only cure I know of for the hissing sound is replace the unit.
I've replaced mine twice now.
Number 3 is in the trailer now and it hisses some but not as bad
as the previous one.
If nothing else goes wrong, I'm going to keep this one I guess.
We get lousy FM radio reception for sure.
Last trip we could only get 2 stations!
I checked my truck and got a sh-t load of stations so it's the stupid
Concertone again!!!

Sounds like you have a loose or bad ground. You can test this with a long piece of wire connected to the frame of the unit with an alligator clamp, or something, and pull out the concertone unit and find the antenna wires, and possibly the booster on newer models. Check the ground connections on these, and correct as needed. Randy

I didn't do anything but the last few times that I've used the radio and tv its like someone fixed it. The hissing is for the most part gone and the reception is like night and day better. Leaving tomorrow for vaca for a week so we'll see what happens. Now if I can get water from leaking under the glass shower surround I'll be happy. lol Thanks, Randy
