LED Dimmer install with some pics

OK, so I started a new thread on this for the install. Background information. I have a new 2016 Salem Hemisphere Lite 286RL. Awning LED strip is too Bright, so I bought a remote LED controller like this: https://www.superbrightleds.com/more...FYWGaQodvxcILw
Had some trouble locating the wiring path for the +/- 12v wiring through the camper. But after removing some panels and investigating, I found it enters the camper in the front awning arm bracket. Inside the camper that is located inside the dresser in the bedroom.

Here is the install: Found the cable entry point inside the dresser:

Once I found the wires (btw nice that they installed a fuse in the bottom of a dresser), I cut them at the junction that was there so I could splice the controller in:

Next I spliced the LED end of the controller to the feed going to the led strip (make sure you use the correct side of the controller, mine was marked):

Next splice the 12v side of the controller:

sand you are complete. Just put the wiring back in the dresser and enjoy your remote!

Hope this helps some others with this mod.

I'm interested in how satisfied you are with the dimmer switch now installed. We have a different model hemisphere but found the the same wiring setup coming in by the front leg of the awning underneath a kitchen cabinet, the location makes an rf controlled switch the most practical.

We are headed out this weekend. I will let you know how I like the dimmer. So far my first impression is that the different Modes that the dimmer creates are all a bad variant of the strobe light, and I am concerned that my camping neighbors or I will have a seizure.....

If I don't like it, I will wire in the dimmer control that just has the dimming knob mention in this post. I think on the right side of the dresser there is a hole that goes down into the storage area. I will place the knob in the storage area and run 4 wires up to the dresser. this would allow the connection.

I will let you know next week, how it goes.

That's unfortunate especially since I ordered one myself already, it should be here this week. We have one last trip scheduled in a couple weeks wanted to have it done before then so I pulled the trigger.

Well it showed up yesterday so I decided to give it a try, seems to work great l didn't notice any flickering. Thanks for all the info I've been wanting to do this for a while now. We have a 8 day trip in about a week I will be able to really test it out. I'm still interested in hearing how you like yours after some use.
