Life expectancy of Sidekick Grill

What is the life expectancy of a Sidekick grill? My 1 gear old grill has small pinholes in the heat diffuser already. Looks to be a $25 part on a $125 grill.

Mine lasted 2 seasons before it was a rusty eyesore and I replaced it.

Mine is nearly 9 years old and still works great.
But I store it in a Coleman grill bag, in the trailer.

Dan, yours was probably still made in America with real steel, not recycled razor blades. Lol.
My outside, inside, and burners looks great. It is just the heat diffuser that is taking a beating.

Mines OK after two tears but it doent heat up like it did the 1st year. The couplings and hoses look OK and cleaned up the burner assembly and input diffuser from the LP suppky but really hasnt improved it.
Any suggestions?

If you never used it, how do you know it's a piece of junk?

I just finished summer 3 with mine. I had to reattached the heat diffuser because I broke it off cleaning it. Need to reattach again with some stainless hardware next time.

Used mine 1 season, new in 2014. Was rusting and falling apert. Didn't like it. Bought a Weber Q 2200 with a cart and love it. Can use the small screw on propane bottle or with the adapter hose use a regular 20 lb tank.

Have one on our 2014 Heritage Glen. Granted, not high dollar, but definitely getting my moneys worth. Have two full seasons on it and have it all cleaned up and working for next year. Will probably need replaced after that, but works great. Very handy for just the DW and I for a quick meal. Much of the campfire cooking has gone by the wayside when you can only use wood purchased at the campground. People keep complaining about more and more glamping instead of camping, but the Ash borer isn't helping that matter any.

Had mine 6 years & the only problem is that I had to replace the carry bag. Heat diffuser came loose but when I set the BBQ up I simply put it in place. When/if it needs replacing it will be with the same thing.

when it came time to throw ours out we found an RVQ 1 in a yard sale in the original box, spotless, apparently used one time and the family sold the trailer.

the lady said her husband said its all gotta go.

She said she'd take 5 bucks for it - didn't care what it was worth.
I think she was mad at him for selling the trailer.

We've had it since 2011 and it works prefect with little rust in the burner.

I used mine once this year.
I'm hoping to at least double production, next year.

The manufacturer replaced the deffuser for free. Quoted me a replacement price for the whole grill of around $52.
