LOST power to all outlets....

So The only outlets working on my XLR 30hsf5 are the string of outlets connected to the GFCI in the bathroom ( so bathroom kitchen and the one outside outlet work) all the outlets in the rear toyhauler and front bedroom are dead.... I have looked for a second GFCI with no luck the (panel only has 1 GFCI marked)

I am thinking either a bad breaker or I have to start pulling apart all the outlets looking for a misconnected wire.... Everything else works fine... Hoping someone will pipe in and point out something dumb I have overlooked.... It's a 2014 and I am the 2nd owner

Advice?

I don't think you have overlooked anything. I would start at the last outlet to have power one side or the other and pull the receptacle to find the cause, these rigs are daisy chain the wiring. good luck let the forum know what you find and correct.

Locate the circuit breaker that controls the inop outlets and recycle the breaker. If that doesn't solve the problem think about the scenario just prior to losing power to those outlets, i.e. what was plugged-in where? Often times those RV outlets will break internally when a plug is inserted causing a wire to lose it's connection.

Exact same thing happened to our 2018 Cherokee first year we had it. Turned out to be a neutral came loose at a junction buried in the ceiling. Took tech day and half to trace it and 5 minutes to fix it.

Do you have 50a shore power?

If so, one leg of the 120v supply may not be working.
Most times in a 50a R/V, the outlets are split between the two 50a/120v legs.

If you are using a dogbone adapter, there have been several reports of the adapter being bad and not supplying current to both legs.

Do you have a multimeter and know how to use it?
Check for 120v beginning at the pedestal/outlet and work your way into the R/V checking the shore power cord and connections on the side of the R/V. (if not hard wired)

Then check for power coming into the breaker box/distribution panel and also coming OUT of each breaker. Check all neutral/ground connections as well. If all is OK up to that point you'll need to start tracing wires and checking connections in each outlet.

Not sure this is relevant to the OP's problem.
  • All the outlets on the GFCI chain are working
  • All the outlets not on the GFCI (different breaker) are not working
The OP should start at the breaker for the non-GFCI outlets.

The outlets in "these rigs" are not the Decora outlets they look like. They are insulation-displacement outlets. No junction box is used. They run the NM cable behind the hole and clamp the two parts of the outlet around it, without stripping the wires or jacket. As they tighten the screws, prongs on the outlet pierce the insulation and contact the wires. There's not much to look at, check, or tighten. And if an outlet makes bad contact, it is likely that the downstream ones will still work because the copper conductors are never broken.

Outlet behind convection oven/microwave not working

We have a similar issue with our 2013 Vengeance toy hauler. Our microwave/convection oven quit. We moved out the microwave and it works fine at other outlets. The outlet behind the microwave must be bad. Would anyone know about a diagram to follow for the wiring? Our microwave, stove and fridge are on the slide out side, so we are also wondering if a wire has been pinched. Any ideas?

Your trailer may have an "Inverter." This permits the operations of the microwave when you are camping without being plugged in to 120 VAC. The inverter converts power from the battery(s) to 120 VAC. Find your inverter and make sure that the breaker on its front panel has not tripped. Turn the breaker off, then on.

Even if you do not have an inverter, the outlet for the microwave is generally on its own breaker. Check the breaker panel for the breaker labelled Microwave and turn it off, then on.

if your Vengeance toyhauler has a fireplace, chances are the fireplace and microwave are tied together via a 'switch'/automatic relay that doesn't allow both to work at the same time. Either the microwave, or the fireplace, take precedence, depending on how the manufacturer wired them.

It's doubtful that 120v wires get 'pinced', but it's possible that the outlet itself has a loose or lost connection, which is not that uncommon for the 'shallow' outlets that are typical of RVs.
Also, check the breaker for the microwave, in the Main Panel, as the microwave will typically be on it's own circuit. Even if the breaker is not tripped, it could have lost it's wire connection, which may need to be tightened(with all shore, gen, and inverter power OFF, of course).

Almost 2 months since OP last posted. Probably has it fixed by now, but we may never know.
