M4-lcd gps

I have 2 questions on the M4-GPS unit following our first trip last week end:

1. Does the GPS have speech navigation (talk to you with the turns / street names)? If so, where is the setting to enable it. Mine, even though I see an option for Volume, there was no sound.

2. Received an error after the trip was done - your program is low in memory or something and to transfer. The screen was stuck in it until I pressed the reset button.

Thanks for your replies..

Yes the GPS will talk to you. It does not give the name of the street when sounding, but says "prepare to turn right in 2 miles" " take next right turn" and so on. In the GPS setup menu it has its own volume control. In order for that to work your radio volume must also be turned up. You can set the GPS volume to be louder than the radio so as to hear GPS commands when listening to other audio sources.

As far as locking up, the reset should take care of that. You might want to update your software for the Magnadyne. Software is free maps cost.

Hope this answers your question!
